Ward was born in MonroeLouisianaonApril 151976. She was a student at the private Christian primary school, called Monroe Christian School. As a student in secondary school, Ward began at Ouachita High School. However, she later transferred into River Oaks High School during the summer immediately following her junior year. Following her graduation, Ward briefly studied at Northeast Louisiana University. Ward dropped out at thirteen and relocated in New York so that she could begin modeling. She attempted acting later in the year. The first time she appeared on stage was in an uncredited role in the 1970's soap drama All My Children, and later was cast in the lead in a drama for teens on NBC Prime-Time Malibu Shores. The role she was cast in was Meg Cummings, a virgin on Sunset Beach in 1996. In 1999, she began her film career playing Brittany Foster, the psychotic Brittany Foster of the erotic drama The In Crowd. The movie was a commercial disappointment in theatres, but it did find some success on cable and home-video. The following year Ward played a supporting part in the cult film Shallow Hal. Apart from her direct-to-DVD parts, she also appeared in several guest appearances on TV shows like Friends. She was the main actor in ABC Family's drama show Make It or Break It in the beginning of its two seasons of 2009. She appeared on the show in 2009 and got the role of Chloe Kmet as the mother of a teenage gymna. Her personal life includes a marriage to producer David C. Robinson. They have one son named Cameron.
